Team News
For matches on 14th October - Lloyd Spencer
For the first time this season Ford Oak will have a full
squad to choose from.
The reserves look to make it 3 wins on the trot as they
travel to Attleboro' Mills whilst the first team entertain
Bulkington White Lion in the Stockingford AA Invitational
Cup.
Reserve Team manager Leon Spencer along with his "best man"
Goggsie have installed a new found belief in their team. With
Eggy banging in the goals and some solid performances from
veterans Hilly,Evo,Martyn and Terry along with a stream of
talented youngsters coming through the reserves are well set
for a strong campaign.
When interviewed by
fordoakfc.co.uk Leon stated:"....we have to remain level
headed as over confidence is a killer. This turnaround in
results is down to the lads who have been class for me in my
short reign as gaffer...."
The Oak welcome back Neil Orton whilst Rich George is fit
after requiring stitches in a lip wound.
The big news this week is that Craig Kemp hopes to be fit
for a place on the bench following his scan. The lanky
striker has been out for almost a year so it will be like
having a new signing.(Not a very good one though).During his
stint at the Oak he has played in every position. We searched
the archives for Kempy in action in his numerous roles, but
as the NDSFL photographer rarely visits our games we have
had to put together a Craig lookalike 11.
Players please note there will be no game and thankfully no
team news on the 21st October due to the International
break. (ie we're off to Vegas on Leon's stag!!)
And finally Jase Starkey was back to his best last week in
the First Team win over Yenton. He has added a blistering
streak of pace to his game.....BLINK and you'll miss him.
See you all at the Oak on Sunday
